Florida’s Volusia County.The person who shot a guy driving on Interstate 4 in Volusia County on Friday is being sought by Florida Highway Patrol officers, the agency said in a statement.
According to an FHP representative, the incident happened at approximately 7 p.m. near mile marker 109, south of the Saxon Boulevard exits.
The victim, a 23-year-old man, was going in the inside eastbound lane when he was cut off by an unidentified black SUV, according to the statement. The spokesperson added that the victim had his arm outside and his window down when he went into the middle lane and paralleled the suspect’s car.
The statement claims that after hearing a gunshot, the victim discovered he had been injured in the left arm. According to the statement, he called police after turning off I-4 into Saxon Boulevard and was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim described a black SUV with a male driver and a female passenger, but he was unable to provide a description of the shooter or the suspect vehicle’s tag number.
