DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. According to Duval County prison records and News 6 partner News 4 JAX, the husband of a lady who was discovered safe on Wednesday after going missing for days was taken into custody on unrelated charges.

Kayla Bailey, 34, was last seen on foot on Sunday night and was discovered safe approximately 3/4 of a mile from her Maxville residence.

Late on Tuesday night, Bailey’s husband, Joshua Elias Bailey, 40, was arrested on felony probation violations and domestic violence injunction violations.

Joshua Bailey told News4JAX prior to his arrest on Tuesday that he attempted to locate his wife by going to the Sunoco in Maxville, where her last position was pinging.

Kayla Bailey may be in danger, according to JSO, who requested the community’s assistance in determining her safety.

Joshua explained, “We were hoping that we could just pick her up and bring her home because the kids still had to go to school and all that stuff.” And we immediately began the hunt. We were aware that something was amiss.

Following a cooperative search with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, JSO reported Wednesday afternoon that Bailey had been located. After going more than two days without water or shelter, she was found resting in a forested location off a trail and brought to a hospital for treatment.

Bailey identifies herself as a digital developer and business owner on her Facebook profile.

Bailey is a Jacksonville photographer and mother of five who started her business in October 2013, according to her website, fohhphotography.com.
