OVIEDO, FL.According to a statement, a high-pressure incident at Oviedo’s West Mitchell Hammock Water Treatment Facility on Tuesday caused a number of minor leaks throughout the city.
According to the city on social media, the incident happened at approximately 5:15 p.m. and has so far resulted in a number of minor service outages at certain homes.
According to the post, about 25 properties were impacted by a water main break that happened on East High Street. According to the city, those residences will be on a boil water advisory until further notice while the main is being fixed.
The West Mitchell Hammock Water Treatment Facility is currently functioning normally, but Oviedo Water Utility staff is still checking the system for additional leaks.
Residents of Oviedo are asked to call the Oviedo Water Utility Department at 407-971-5681, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or 407-256-5026, after hours, if they notice any irregularities in or around water service lines, water meters, or with their home plumbing.
