Ticked off! @handicap permits

Not only is our newspaper (crossword puzzle) broken, but it appears that the USPS is as well. I have been receiving emails from USPS Informed Delivery informing me of the mail I will be receiving that day at around 7 a.m. for a considerable amount of time. (The post office offers this service for free.) My mail would thereafter arrive between 3 and 4 p.m. But for the past few weeks, my mail has already been delivered between 1 and 3 p.m., and the email does not arrive until between 3 and 4 p.m. Why is that happening?

The small Publix between Courtland Boulevard and Fort Smith Boulevard is tearing down the ornamental trees surrounding the parking lot, and I’m furious about it. Are trees regarded as competitors?

There isn’t a local solution because the crossword layout was most likely obtained from the Tribune headquarters. Take a deep, cleansing breath, count to ten on your fingers, and then continue. You may purchase a book of 100 puzzles on Amazon for $10, or you can get ten books of 100 puzzles for $30. There are more than 100 volumes available, and Jumble books for the more experienced start at $10 for 100 problems. The others will be grateful.

I saw handicap permits dangling from drivers’ rearview mirrors. The phrase “Remove Before Driving” appears directly on the permit. If this sign is shown on mirrors at the time of a traffic or standing vehicle accident ticket, the driver’s insurance company may refuse to fund the driver’s claim. Since the permit holder attests to their understanding of the terms of use, the driver is held accountable for the impeded driving issue. That can make the motorist liable for damages and nullify accident coverage. Consider those handicappers!

My spouse and I were dreading the prospect of having to renew our driver’s licenses. We visited the Seminole County Tax Collector’s office located in Winter Springs at the intersection of Vistawilla Drive and State Road 434. In less than forty-five minutes, the office was tidy, staffed, productive, and the employees were even courteous and helpful. Excellent work, Seminole County.
