Following a collision that left one automobile engulfed in flames, a portion of Interstate-4 was closed near Conroy Road in Orlando early on Monday morning.
For hours, the collision blocked several westbound lanes.
According to department spokesperson Jesse Canales, the Orlando Fire Department arrived at the scene of the two-vehicle collision shortly before two in the morning. Canales did not clarify the number of individuals trapped inside the cars when firefighters arrived, but the incident featured entrapment.
By the time emergency personnel arrived, one car was completely engulfed in flames. Within ten minutes, crews had totally put out the fire.
According to the department, there were two patients. One patient refused to be taken to a hospital after receiving treatment and evaluation on the spot. Instead of providing information on the second patient, Canales referred inquiries for more details to the Orlando Police Department, which took some time to reply.
