A Florida lady allegedly attempted to shoot a police officer while being taken to the jail, leading authorities to charge her with attempted murder.

According to a Marion County Sheriff’s Office press release, Deputy A. Guillard pulled over 22-year-old Rheanna Harden at approximately one in the morning on Monday.

Harden was taken into custody by Guillard on suspicion of possessing marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

She was also accused of intentionally driving with a suspended license and giving police false identification.

She is a convicted felon with a history of evasion, theft, drug use, and firearms convictions, according to officials.

Harden was still shackled in the back car when she allegedly pulled out a revolver from her jeans and fired at Deputy Guillard’s head while driving the suspect to the Marion County Jail.

According to the press statement, he lost control of the patrol car, collided with a utility pole, got out, and fired back.

Deputy Guillard was wounded close to his right eye, while Harden was injured to her shoulder and hip.

Officials said that both were taken to the hospital by first responders and then released.

Harden is being held without bond by authorities at the Marion County Jail.
